Owls and Flamingoes

Mrs Thorley

Hello everyone!

I am really looking forward to meeting you when you start school.  I have been a teacher at St Michael's School for a very long time now and I might even have taught some of your big brothers and sisters!  Here are some things you might like to know about me...

I have a son called Joseph who is 12.  He loves building models from Lego and my house looks a bit like Legoland now! I also have two grown up stepchildren called Jodie and Aaron, a grandson called Logan who is starting school in September just like you and a granddaughter called Luna.  We love to have days out together at the farm or the zoo.

As well as spending lots of time with my family, I love being outside.  I go for lots of walks and bike rides with my son and running is one of my favourite things to do.  I also love to read and bake cakes.  I'm sure that we will have lots of fun playing outside, reading stories and cooking together when you are at our school.

Mrs Stamp

Hello and welcome!

My name is Mrs Stamp.  I can't wait to meet you in September and find out all about you!

I used to go to school at St. Michael's when I was your age and this year, my son is starting school here too.  At the end of last year, I had a daughter, who brightened up a difficult year.

In my spare time I enjoy gardening and trying to grow my own vegetables.  I have grown tiny carrots, lots of tomatoes, a gigantic marrow and broad beans.  I like listening to lots of different podcasts while I potter around in the garden too.

We are a musical family who enjoy rocking out together to all the classics as well as playing and tinkering on lots of different instruments.

I love to learn new facts so I read a variety of non-fiction books, with a special interest in English history and animals.  Don't forget to tell me your best fact when we meet and teach me something new!

Ducks and Toucans

Mrs Boon

Hello everyone, Mrs Boon here.  I am looking forward to getting to know you all when we are together in Ducks and Toucans class.  So that you can get to know me, here is a little bit about me...

I have two children called Henry and Rosie.  They both really like football and as a family, we love to go and have a kick-about at the park.

I love finding out about history and science and in my spare time I enjoy reading about space and visiting museums to find out about the past.  My favourite museum is the science museum where I can do both at the same time!  We love to be outside, walking in the woods or searching for fossils at the beach.  The best bit about going to the beach is getting an ice-cream at the end!

I have two children, Maddy and Theo, and we love to bake lots of yummy treats together!  We have a cat too and her name is Misty.

When I get a quiet moment, I love to relax by doing some painting or going for a run.  We love to be outside and I enjoy walks in the woods near our house with my family.
