Owls and Flamingoes

Mrs Thorley

Hello everyone!

I am really looking forward to meeting you when you start school.  I have been a teacher at St Michael's School for a very long time now and I might even have taught some of your big brothers and sisters!  Here are some things you might like to know about me...

I have a son called Joseph who is 11.  He is about to start a new school too!  I also have two grown up stepchildren called Jodie and Aaron, a grandson called Logan who is nearly three and I will have a new baby granddaughter in August.  I usually look after Logan on Fridays so I am really missing him at the moment.

As well as spending lots of time with my family, I love being outside.  I go for lots of walks and bike rides with my son and running is one of my favourite things to do.  I also love to read and bake cakes.  I'm sure that we will have lots of fun playing outside, reading stories and cooking together when you are at our school.

Mrs Evans

Hi everyone!

My name is Mrs Evans and I’m going to be new to St Michael's in September - just like you.  I have been a teacher for quite a few years now and love teaching Year R.  I’m looking forward to getting to know you better and we can help each other get to know our school.  I have two children of my own who are 11 and 14 but still keep me busy! Some of my hobbies are running and swimming, I also sew and read lots of books.  I’m even known for building the odd thing out of Lego!

I’m excited to meet you all!

Ducks and Toucans

Mrs Boon

Hello everyone, Mrs Boon here.  I am looking forward to getting to know you all when we are together in Ducks and Toucans class.  So that you can get to know me, here is a little bit about me...

I have two children called Henry and Rosie.  They both really like football and as a family, we love to go and watch Aldershot Town play - come on the Shots!

I love finding out about history and science and in my spare time I enjoy reading about space and visiting museums to find out about the past.  My favourite museum is the science museum where I can do both at the same time!  We love to be outside, walking in the woods or searching for fossils at the beach.  The best bit about going to the beach is getting an ice-cream at the end!

Mrs Sheppard

Hello children, my name is Mrs Sheppard.  I can't wait to meet you all!

I have two children, Maddy and Theo, and we love to bake lots of yummy treats together!  We have a cat too and her name is Misty.

When I get a quiet moment, I love to relax by doing some painting or going for a run.  We love to be outside and I enjoy walks in the woods near our house with my family.

Miss Gelderd

Hello everyone!

My name is Miss Gelderd. I hope you are as excited as I am to be starting in Early Years at St Michael's in September. I’ve taught in Year R for a couple of years now and I think it’s the best!

A few things I’d like to tell you about me: my favourite colour is purple, I enjoy a little bit of gardening, I have a kitten called Hugo and I absolutely love penguins. I am really looking forward to meeting you and getting to know all of the things you like.
